I should have CDs in hand early next week just in time for Christmas

DEMO. Recorded at The Corona Studios, We wanted a CD that we could give to venues as a realistic sample of what we sound like, without all the post production and multiple tracking techniques. This CD is what the Acousticats Sound like live.

Finishing up (DEMO)

Track list is complete and final mastering should be done tonight or tomorrow.

Feedback on cover design was Zero.  So I’ll likely go with my own designs.

I’ll be working on art for the CD as well as a 2 panel insert for thin jewel cases (Same packaging as the 9 lives CD)

Track list was originally going to be 5 songs but the recordings all came out excellent.  So I guess it’s grown to 7

Demo in work

Doing some critical listening today, We have 8 songs recorded for the EP I’ll whiddle that down to 5.

Demo is different than the 9 lives CD, 9 Lives is all originals using all the tools in my studio. Multi track overdub, I sing backup with myself, play ed multiple guitar parts, Brought in a few guest musicians adding drums, pedal steel and bass.

With Demo, We wanted to have a project that we could point to and say “This is what we sound like live” So with that thought in mind we decided that all the recordings on Demo would be one pass recordings. They are all 4 track recordings a vocal mic, and instrument mic for each of us and there was no comping (slicing , dicing and splicing) Also there will be covers, some of our favorite songs. I can’t wait to share it with everyone.

Terrapin Station

Good times last night at the Terrapin station. Tim and me had a really good set and got some positive feedback and listened to some great music. Jonathan Warren was epic.

I Love that Word Press keeps track of your visitors for you, Gives a nice little graph on visitors per day. lets you know your top search keywords that lead people to your page. But I lately I am baffled at the top key words, I made a post back in May open-mic-night simple post like most here. But this one seems to have attracted a lot of attention.  With ” mic “  being the top search term every day since May.

Lord of the flies

Good time at Gellato’s last night,

I know I always say we had a good time. We always do when we are playing live.  Friends dropped in to see us,  Everyone was in a great mood. Tim and me enjoyed ourselves. There was one thing however, or should I say several hundred very small things. Flies, OMG Flies. Big problem when you are playing guitar,  both hands are busy and you can’t swat them away. I am itching just thinking about them.

That said, we had a great time last night. LOL
